A 1967-1970 GM Truck on its original drums stops the way it did when it was new, which is to say not great by today's standards. This Right Stuff kit converts the GM Truck to hydro-boost 4-wheel disc brakes and is built around a 2" drop, so stance and stopping get sorted together, with hydraulic assist that runs off the power steering pump instead of engine vacuum.
Why It's Worth It
- Wilwood calipers in red
- Hydraulic assist doesn't depend on engine vacuum, so it suits big cams and low-vacuum engines
- Drilled & Slotted Rotors
- Performance Series Conversion Kit
- Includes Braided Stainless Flex Hoses
- Timken Bearings
Before You Order
- This is the 2" drop version; stock-height cars need a different kit
- Confirm your lug pattern and that your wheels clear the calipers before ordering
- Hydro-boost requires a power steering pump and pressure/return lines to feed the unit
- Going to 4-wheel disc changes front/rear bias, so check your proportioning valve setup
- Pre-bent TRS brake line kits are available separately to finish the conversion
- Bleed the system and bed in the pads after installation
